The University of California is pleased to announce the completion of draft environmental review documents for the proposed Richmond Bay Campus (RBC) to be sited at the Richmond Field Station (RFS) and adjacent Regatta Property. The Draft Removal Action Workplan (RAW) published today evaluates cleanup alternatives to remaining legacy pollution at the RFS. The draft Long Range Development Plan Environmental Impact Report (Draft RBC LDP EIR) analyzes the potential environmental effects related to development and operations at the RBC under the California Environmental Quality Act.
Two public review meetings will be held to in early December to allow the community to provide input and formal comments to these two documents. You can find the documents and the time and location of the two meetings below.
Draft Removal Action Workplan (RAW) Public Meeting December 5, 2013
The RAW has been prepared by the University under the direction of the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). DTSC is conducting a RAW Public Meeting as follows:

- Location: Richmond Field Station Building 445
The Public Comment Period for the RAW extends from November 26, 2013 to January 10, 2013. Paper copies of the RAW can be found in the Richmond Public Library (325 Civic Center Plaza), the DTSC Berkeley Office (700 Heinz Avenue by appointment), and in the RFS B478 lobby. Electronic copies are available on the RFS Environmental Website on the Publications Page of this website and on the Envirostor Website at http://www.envirostor.dtsc.ca.gov/public.
The Environmental Impact Report (EIR) Public Hearing December 11, 2013
The activities identified in the draft RAW are also outlined and analyzed in the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the proposed University of California RBC Long Range Development Plan (LRDP). UC is conducting a separate public hearing in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act on the Draft RBC LRDP EIR, as follows:

- Location: Richmond City Council chambers, 440 Civic Center Plaza in Richmond
The public comment period on the Draft RBC LRDP EIR extends from November 15, 2013 through January 13, 2014. Comments on the RBC LRDP EIR may be emailed to rbc@lbl.gov. Information regarding the EIR, including notice of availability, review period, and public hearing date is provided at:
